October 25, 2019SuperModelMD®: Who wants to keep their summer glow going???
Just because we are well into the fall season does not mean it is impossible to sustain that radiant glow you had all summer long. Here are just a few quick and easy tips to keep your summer glow well into the fall months and beyond.
(1) Eat Polyphenol rich foods:
Eating foods containing polyphenols that can help nourish the skin are key! Polyphenols are antioxidants that can be found in specific foods that may help rejuvenate the skin and help it maintain its glow. Polyphenols can be found naturally in fruits like berries and beverages like green tea.
(2) Avoid Dehydration:
Dehydration translates into skin that is dry, dull, and even sometimes irritated. Make sure you are drinking enough water daily to help eliminate toxins from the skin and keep it revitalized over time.
(3) Incorporate a soy based cleanser and/or moisturizer to your beauty routine
What’s the big deal about soy based products? Soy has some antioxidant properties that can help improve skin tone and discoloration and even help enhance your natural glow.
Two of my favs that I’ve incorporated into my beauty routine recently include: Fresh Soy Face Cleanser & Aveeno Positively Radiant Intensive Night Cream with Soy Extract.
(4) Avoid long hot showers
The temperature of water you use to shower actually makes a world of a difference. Sometimes when the weather gets colder outside, there is a tendency for one to amp up the water heat and remain in the shower longer than necessary. This habit can actually dry the skin out and make it appear dull and lose its natural radiance. Remember, excessively long and hot showers have no benefit for your skin health.
(5) Consider a cream with retinol
Retinol has anti aging and anti wrinkle properties with components that help keep the skin looking firm, smooth, young, and fresh.
Remember, glowing skin is very attainable no matter the time of year!
